The Higher Education program or scholarship program is to provide supplemental financial assistance to enrolled members of the Pawnee Tribe that are pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution of higher learning. Applicants must satisfy all Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs requirements as specified in the application packet in order to determine eligibility. The Chickasaw Foundation provides educational assistance for Chickasaw students who demonstrate excellence in academics, community service and dedication to Native America and a commitment to learning. All scholarship funding begins each fall semester and is dependent upon the availability of funding. Scholarship awards shall be made payable directly to the students' designated college or university. The United States Government, through the Bureau of Indian Affairs, provides annual educational assistance to Indian students to enable them to attend institutions of higher learning. The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, pursuant of P.L. 93-638, have contracted to administer this program for tribal members enrolled at the Concho Agency. The Comanche Nation Scholarship Program provides grants to Comanche students who are attending post secondary institutions/colleges/universities and who are pursuing a Bachelors / Masters / Doctorate Degree or are in a two year program which will transfer to a four year program. In order to qualify for the award, a student must be an enrolled member of the Comanche Nation; be a high school graduate or possess a GED Certificate; be approved for admissions by the college; be in need of financial aid; and give reasonable assurance they will be successful in completing a four year college degree program. The MCN Higher Education Administers three (3) grant programs for students pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Only NEW APPLICANTS are required to complete an application. If you are currently receiving funding from the Higher Education program you are not required to complete an application each semester. Continuing students need to submit their official transcript from the semester in which they were funded, as well as a class schedule for the upcoming semester to stay eligible for the program. Bachelor's degree candidates who anticipate graduation in the Spring or Summer 2017 are eligible to participate in the Spring Commencement ceremonies. If you have questions regarding your eligibility to participate in the ceremonies on Saturday, please contact your college student academic services office. No tickets are necessary for entrance to the Commencement Ceremony. First Undergraduate Ceremony - 9:00 a.m. (processional starts 8:45 a.m.) College of Human SciencesCollege of Engineering, Architecture & Technology Second Undergraduate Ceremony - 12:00 p.m.(processional starts 11:45 a.m.) College of Arts & Sciences Third Undergraduate Ceremony - 3:00 p.m.(processional starts 2:45 p.m.) Spears School of Business Fourth Undergraduate Ceremony - 6:00 p.m.(processional starts 5:45 p.m.) College of EducationCollege of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources   During Each Ceremony The Oklahoma State University Pipe Band will lead the Saturday processionals into Gallagher-Iba Arena where candidates will be seated by college. Candidates will be announced individually, photographed and presented an OSU Commencement print while crossing the stage. Graduates are expected to remain seated throughout the ceremony as a courtesy to your classmates. Individuals who participate in the commencement ceremony are expected to wear caps and gowns that are approved by the University. Appropriate attire is required.

The Chikasha Holitoplichi (Honors Program) rewards students striving to complete continuing education goals and academic success. This program is available for Chickasaw college students beginning their sophomore year through professional school. The program includes classification change incentives, degree completion incentives and the opportunity to receive graduation stoles. Deadline to apply for the summer term is June 15th!
