Mr. Elijah McIntosh
Secretary of the Nation and Commerce at Muscogee Nation
Mr. Elijah McIntosh is the Secretary of the Nation and Commerce at Muscogee (Creek) Nation. The Office of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Secretary of the Nation and Commerce is the lead governmental agency responsible for the attraction and encouragement of commerce with businesses in and outside the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Under Mr. McIntosh’s leadership, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation formed a partnership with Tinker Federal Credit Union to offer financial literacy training and to expand financial service opportunities to all of its citizens, employees and family members.
Mr. McIntosh’s office coordinates all activities associated with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation’s business code, including corporations, partnerships and uniform commercial code.
Mr. McIntosh serves on the boards of the Oklahoma Tribal Finance Consortium, Cross Timbers Resources Conservation & Development Association and the Oklahoma State University Tribal Finance and Accounting Advisory Board.
Prior to joining the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Mr. McIntosh worked as a Principle Examiner for the National Credit Union Administration overseeing a district of 19 credit unions with $1.9 billion in assets. Mr. McIntosh earned a Finance degree from Northeastern State University and an Associates from Connors State College. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 2000-2004.
