Dawna Riding-in-Hare
Council Member on Pawnee Business Council
Dawna Hare is a member of the Pawnee Business Council serving since May 2015. At Pawnee Nation she chairs the Human Resource Committee, serves as a member of the Enrollment and Property Committees, and an Education Sub Committee.
Dawna comes from a family of educators that view education as a life-long commitment. Dawna graduated has an associate degree from Haskell Indian Junior College (now Haskell Indian Nations University), a bachelor's degree in personnel administration from the University of Kansas, and a master’s degree in Native American Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
In addition to serving as an elected official at Pawnee Nation, Dawna also serves as an adjunct instructor in American Indian Studies at Oklahoma State University and co-advisor for the Native American Student Association. She is also an instructor for Native American Consulting.
Dawna lives in Pawnee with her husband, Charles. They have three grown children: Carly Hare, Electa Hare-Red Corn, and Danon Hare. They have four grandchildren, Lottice, Atticus, Signey, Tawali, and one more on her way.
