Sovereignty Symposium XXXIII

Oklahoma Supreme Court, Featuring Esteemed Keynote Speakers

The Oklahoma Supreme Court Sovereignty Symposium was held on October 11–12, 2021 as an online virtual event. The event will coincide with Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 11, 2021.

This year’s keynote speakers were Harvey Pratt, Designer of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian National Native American Veterans Memorial, Dr. Bob Blackburn of the Oklahoma Historical Society and Congressman Tom Cole. The Center Team participated in the virtual event thanks to the generous invitation by Justice Yvonne Kauger.

The Sovereignty Symposium was established to provide a forum in which ideas concerning common legal issues can be exchanged in a scholarly, non-adversarial environment. The Supreme Court espoused no view on any issue and/or position taken by program participants.
