Career Paths: Visit with leaders from the Chickasaw Nation

The Chickasaw Nation visited students in the OSU Center for Sovereign Nations to discuss careers. Joining Haleigh Ralls, Director, HR HQ Talent Acquisition and Robyn Lunsford, HR Professional Talent Strategist were Chickasaw Nation Department of the Treasury accountants, Brett Joplin, Manager Accounts Payable, and Jensen Peay.
OSU School of Accounting Assistant Head Alyssa Vowell attended so she could meet Chickasaw Nation leaders, and represent OSU School of Accounting’s ongoing interest in encouraging students to pursue careers in accounting. The collaborative event included dynamic discussions between current and former OSU students and their families.
Students, faculty, and guests from across campus enjoyed a pizza luncheon hosted by OSU Center for Sovereign Nations Director Elizabeth Payne and Assistant Director Sky Rogers.
The event was so successful that Chickasaw Nation HR suggested that this should be an annual event. Students reported learning valuable information and making strategic connections with OSU and with The Chickasaw Nation.
