Ethical Leadership Panel
The OSU Center for Sovereign Nations (CSN) and the Spears School of Business Center for Legal Studies and Business Ethics (CLSBE), co-hosted a panel discussion to showcase the practice of business ethics while exercising sovereignty in tribal government settings. Panelists included Shella Bowlin, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Cherokee Nation Businesses; Ms. Teresa Jackson, Senior Executive Officer, Tribal Services, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma; and Ms. Robyn Elliott, Secretary Communications and Community Development, Chickasaw Nation.
OSU faculty, staff, and students gathered in the Theater in the OSU Student Union for a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Marc Tower, Assistant Dean for Innovative Education and Growth, Spears School of Business. CSN Director, Elizabeth Payne, Assistant Director, Sky Rogers, and Associate Professor of Legal Studies |Director & Chair of Center for Legal Studies & Business Ethics, Laurie Lucas, collaborated with sovereign nation leadership to identify speakers, as well as to coordinate event logistics and student engagement in this important event.
Students submitted questions to the panelists who offered insightful responses. Panelists also suggested additional topics for students to consider. Participants were invited to continue the conversation.
